The Protagonist

It has been quite a few month since the last update due to many circumstances. Covid too! Not fun. However I am still trucking along writing the story and artworks for the project. After giving some thought I’ve decided to name this hero of the story as well a near realized vision of the main character. He is named Doran , a non-gendered Irish name that translate as “Wanderer” or “Stranger”. It’s fitting for his role as his race is extremely rare. He has briefly lived a lifestyle of a pirate shortly after leaving his hometown located within the Bloodwater Isles. Like other humans, they suffer from inability to communicate with other animals. On top of that he is deaf but has a way to hear the world through a Lapis Lazuli stone placed just above his right ear. He is naive but has grown thick skin for being a human among fellow pirates of the sea, despite language barriers he faces along the way. This sets him on a path of self-discovery and a way to overcome a divide between human and animals. He aims to reach the top of Yggdrasil to wish for one thing: to reach out and connect everyone together.
